Summary

The Niger Malaria Indicator Survey (MIS) 2021 is part of phase 8 of the Demographic and Health Survey series. The purpose of the survey is to measure the essential indicators of the National Malaria Control Program (PNLP) in order to assess the endemicity of malaria and the progress of implementation of malaria control interventions such as vector control including mosquito nets, intermittent preventative treatment, and care-seeking and treatment for fever in children. A screening test for anemia and parasitaemia was also carried out on young children aged 6 to 59 months. 4,729 households and 5,795 women were interviewed.
