Summary 

This survey is often used or referenced with other, later household budget surveys.  Information about this nationally representative survey is available online in a report titled, "Determinants of Poverty in Mozambique: 1996-97," available for download from IFPRI. The sample size was 8,274 households and over 42,000 individuals. It included a primary questionnaire, a daily household questionnaire, and a daily personal questionnaire. Data collection for the household component was completed in March 1997. There was also a community component that was finished in October 1997.
