Summary

The 2011 MIS in Liberia had the objective of measuring progress in malaria prevention and control since the 2009 MIS and the scale-up of malaria interventions. The survey used a nationally representative sample of around 4,500 households. Women ages 15-49 were interviewed about malaria prevention during pregnancy and childhood fevers. Blood tests were done for anemia and malaria for children under 5; blood smear parasitemia tests were also done.
