Summary 

The Egypt Household Education Survey (EHES) 2005-2006, also referred to as the Egypt Demographic and Health Survey EdData Survey (DHS EdData) 2005-2006, provides information on education attainment, education expenditures, and education access for school age children. 2005-2006 EHES participants were selected from a sub-sample of households surveyed in the 2005 Egypt Demographic and Health Survey (DHS). The Data from the EHES 2005-2006 can be statistically linked to the 2005 Egypt DHS. For the 2005-3006 EHES, 7,550 parents/ guardians were successfully interviewed from 6,833 households. Parent/ guardian interviews provided data on 15,914 school age children age 4-17. Additionally, anthropometry measurements were collected for 4,531 children age 6-9, and literacy and numeracy was measured for 4,500 children age 6-9.
